This wonderful online version of our incredibly popular class for Pre-schoolers and Kindergarteners, is a perfect introduction to theater and the performing arts curated especially for our tiniest students! Your child will play, sing, and improvise — a great way to encourage creativity, confidence, and critical thinking for your young and energetic star.

Songs & Scenes Grades K-2

We are excited to offer this fun online performance class. We will rehearse and tape songs and scenes from a musical, to be chosen to suit the registrants. We will tape participants at Hoboken Children’s Theater, individually by appointment, at the end of the session and then edit their performances into a film to share with family and friends.

Sing! Dance! Act! Grades 2-4

Just like our in-person version, this online Sing! Dance! Act! class will rehearse a full musical chosen to suit the registrants, and then come to Hoboken Children’s Theater to tape individually, by appointment in November. Each week participants will learn acting, music and choreography. All actors will receive a finished video of the show.

Dear Edwina Online Edition follows the adventures of plucky advice-giver-extraordinaire, Edwina Spoonapple, as she directs the neighborhood kids in a series of buoyant production numbers for the latest edition of her weekly "Advice-a-Palooza.” Edwina and her friends share wisdom on everything from trying new foods to making new friends, through clever, catchy and poignant songs.

Learn Musical Theater dance steps while having a fun online dance party. We will incorporate basic dance moves into choreography for some of your favorite Pop and Broadway songs, as well as play movement games, dance improv and freeze dance!

Perfect for improv lovers and novices alike, this online course explores the FUNdamental principle of improv: YES AND! We will learn how to create fun scenes and zany characters through a mix of games and improv exercises in this online class. Lights! Camera! Action! Grades 4-6

Students will learn the ins and outs of film making while creating their own short film in this fun online class. It could be a horror movie, a drama, or even a comedy! From choosing the subject matter, to  developing the script, story boarding the action, and learning about shots and acting on film, students will be part of every step of the process. At the end of the session, they will  receive their professionally edited film.

The almost all-girl high school math team from Waukesha, Wisconsin, has lost – and then won – the regional math competition. They are off to compete in the National Math SUM-IT. These smart and funny whiz kids must unite to solve difficult math problems without getting distracted by teen drama and pressures.

Always witty, sometimes uproarious, this is the story of teens conquering anxiety and rivalry, finding a way to affirm themselves as individuals and as team-members, learning to win at math… and at life!

HCT Company Grades 7-12

HCT Company is for advanced performers, grades 7-12, with extensive experience. By invitation/audition only. We will be working on a full musical, rehearsing online and  taping either individually, or in socially distanced groups at Hoboken Children’s Theater in December. Same level of advanced vocal work, same level of choreography. All participants will receive a copy of the video.
