SummerStage 2020 Mini Pre K – K Pre-K and Kindergarten

This half-day program is a great way to introduce younger children to the performing arts in a gentle and fun environment. Small classes with two instructors per class ensures a thoughtful, caring and focused experience in dance, art, voice and theater games.

Students bring their own snacks. Child MUST be 4 by the start of the session.

Register for one, two or all three weeks. Each week will be new and exciting!

This season’s performance:

SummerStage 2020 Grades 1–3 Grades 1-3

This group will put on a fully realized production of a musical, directed by Jessica McCuiston, to be performed at the end of the three-week session for family and friends. Each day students will have classes in Theater Games, Art, Voice, Acting and Dance with trained professionals and working artists. There will be opportunities to work on costumes, set pieces and programs.

Students bring their own snack, lunch and dance shoes.

Performances are the final 2 days during program hours.

This season’s performance:

Pet owners, Roger and Anita, live happily in London with their Dalmatians, Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita's former classmate, the monstrous Cruella De Vil, plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.

SummerStage 2020 Grades 4–6 Grades 4-6

This group will perform a fully realized production, Directed by Chase Leyner and Samantha Alicandri, Musical Direction by Aidan Davis, at the end of the three-week session for family and friends. Students will learn blocking, direction, acting technique and choreography. Each day they will have classes in Voice and Music Theory, Acting, Dance and Art with trained professionals and working artists.

Students bring their own snack, lunch and dance shoes.

Performances are the final few days during program hours.

This season’s performance:

The classic story tells of Belle, a young, scholarly woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

SummerStage 2020 Grades 7–12 Grades 7-12

This group will perform a fully realized production, Directed by Scott Pearson and Musical Direction by Caleb Damshroder, at the end of the three-week session in the evening for family and friends. Each day they will have classes in Voice and Music Theory, Acting, and Dance with trained professionals and working artists. High school and college theater audition information and coaching is also made available.

Students bring their own snack, lunch and dance shoes. They have the option of leaving for lunch.

Performances are Wednesday July 15 and Thursday July 16 at 7pm.

This season’s performance:

This girl-loves-ghoul rock and roll Off Broadway musical is set in the atomic 1950s at Enrico Fermi High, where the law is laid down by a zany, tyrannical principal. Pretty senior Toffee has fallen for the class bad boy. Family pressure forces her to end the romance, and he charges off on his motorcycle to the nuclear waste dump. He returns glowing and determined to reclaim Toffee's heart. He still wants to graduate, but most of all he wants to take Toffee to the prom.

Cancellations We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet the enrollment requirements.

Refunds Students who withdraw on or before June 1 receive a full refund minus the deposit. Students who withdraw between June 2 and June 21 receive a 50% refund. No refunds are given after June 22, regardless of attendance.
