THIS CLASS IS ONLINE.

This wonderful online version of our incredibly popular class for Pre-schoolers and Kindergarteners is a perfect introduction to theater and the performing arts, curated especially for our tiniest students! Your child will play, sing, and improvise — a great way to encourage creativity, confidence, and critical thinking for your young and energetic star.

THIS CLASS IS ONLINE.

Students will create their own online tv channel programming including commercials, news, and even a short TV series episode. They will learn the ins and outs of filmmaking while creating their own content, choosing the subject matter, storyboarding the action, and learning about film shots. They will finish the class with a professionally edited video of their program, TV ready!

THIS CLASS IS IN PERSON!

A princess, a tiger, or even a rocketship – in this class you can be ANYTHING! This fun class uses theater games, dramatic play, and physical improv to help your child reach new levels of confidence and creativity. Great for children with all levels of performance experience. (We will be following our COVID protocols for these classes, which you can view from our homepage.) Each class will be limited to 10 participants.

THIS CLASS HAS AN IN-PERSON OPTION!

We are excited to offer this hybrid performance class! Students will have the option to take some of their classes at HCT! We will continue to teach music online, but will offer an in-person option for acting and choreography. The class will still be on Zoom for those who do not yet feel comfortable with group activities. (We will be following our COVID protocols for these classes, which you can view from our homepage.) Each class will be limited to 10 participants.

Sing! Dance! Act! class will rehearse a full musical chosen to suit the registrants, and then tape at Hoboken Children’s Theater individually by appointment in June. Each week, participants will learn music, choreography, and acting. All actors will receive a finished video of the show.

Performance Workshop will rehearse and perform a full musical, chosen to suit the registrants.  Each week, participants will learn acting, music, and choreography.

THIS CLASS IS ONLINE.

Students will learn the ins and outs of filmmaking while creating their own short film in this fun online class. It could be a horror movie, a drama, or even a comedy! From choosing the subject matter, to developing the script, storyboarding the action, and learning about shots and acting on film, students will be part of every step of the process. At the end of the session, they will receive their professionally edited film.

THIS CLASS IS IN-PERSON!

This class uses theater games and improvisation to help your child take their acting skills to the next level, as well as provides a basic foundation in improv and ensemble building. Perfect for the enthusiastic young actor who just can’t get enough of being on stage (but all levels welcome!) (We will be following our COVID protocols for these classes, which you can view from our homepage.) Each class will be limited to 10 participants.

THIS CLASS HAS AN IN-PERSON OPTION!

HCT Company is for advanced performers, grades 7-12, with extensive experience. By invitation/audition only.

We would like to create a Company Cabaret, to be recorded and aired to the public. We are excited to offer this hybrid class, and Company members will have the option to take some of their classes at HCT! We will continue to teach music online, but will offer an in-person option for acting and choreography.
