Attendance It is very important to be at all rehearsals. We understand absences due to illness, but do not register if you foresee multiple absences due to schedule conflicts.

Cancellations We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet the enrollment requirements.

Refunds Students withdrawing at least 24 hours prior to the first day of class receive a full refund, minus a $25 processing fee. Students withdrawing after the first class, but before the second, receive a 50% refund. No refunds are given after the second class, regardless of attendance.

Teen Acting- Scene Study & Improv Grades 7-12

In Teen Acting, we will explore the fundamentals of monologues, scene work, and improvisation. The acting portion of this class will focus on character development and text analysis, and the students will learn the building blocks of improv while discovering the power of saying “YES, AND!”, as well as hone their ability to think on their feet. This class is jam-packed with individual work, group theater games, and rich class discussions.

Disney’s Cinderella KIDS is an adaptation of the treasured animated film that will charm its way into your heart and remind audiences that dreams really can come true. When poor Cinderella is endlessly mistreated by her wicked stepmother and stepsisters, and denied a chance to go to the royal ball, she gets a little help from her mice friends and a lot of help from her Fairy Godmother! Cinderella’s dreams come true as she goes to the ball, meets the Prince and falls in love!

We Are Monsters is a hilarious musical that follows human kids into a monster cabaret filled with quirky monster characters. The adventurous humans uncover vegetarian vampires and rock n’ roll werewolves, gradually realizing there may be more to these monsters than meets the eye! Most importantly these monsters and kids discover the importance of friendship and celebrating the attributes that make each of us different and unique.

HCT Company is for advanced performers, grades 7-12, with extensive experience. By invitation/audition only.

We would like to create a Company Cabaret, to be recorded and aired to the public. We are excited to offer this hybrid class, and Company members will have the option to take some of their classes at HCT! We will continue to teach music online, but will offer an in-person option for acting and choreography. The class will still be on Zoom for those who do not yet feel comfortable with group activities. (We will be following our COVID protocols for these classes, which you can view from our homepage.)

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out. When Ugly sets out on an adventure of self-discovery, he finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.

The Wiz is a joyous modern retelling of L. Frank Baum’s classic children’s story The Wizard of Oz reflecting contemporary culture. After Dorothy gets swept up in a tornado, she finds herself in the fantastical world of Oz. There, she makes new friends, battles evil witches, and seeks the aid of the all-powerful and mysterious Wiz. Ultimately, Dorothy finds that, if you believe with all your heart, you can always find your way home. With an infectious soul score, dynamic numbers, and endearing cast of characters, The Wiz is a joyous explosion of music, dance, magic, and heart to delight audience members of all ages.

Journey "under the sea" with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney's The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney's Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.

Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale.  Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic. When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
