On February 16 and 17, Hoboken Children’s Theater will hold auditions for SummerStage Pro’s production of Legally Blonde.

SummerStage Pro is a free program for teens and young adults from all over New Jersey and the New York City area. Spanning economic and cultural backgrounds, Summer­Stage Pro is the next step for young performers who want to pursue a career in theater.

Last summer’s Les Miserables was a stunning success, with many industry guests in attendance and sold-out shows for the entire run. It was a life-changing experience for the forty cast members as well as for the Broadway professionals who put the production together.

This summer’s production will once again be directed by Broadway performers Don Brewer (Les Miserables, The Will Rogers Follies, Mamma Mia!) and Lisa Capps (Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Tommy), with choreography by a member of the Broadway cast of Legally Blonde. Rehearsals and performances will take place at Monroe Theatrespace in Hoboken.

AUDITIONS

Auditions will be held — by appointment only — on February 16 and 17 at:
   Hoboken Children's Theater Studios
   720 Monroe Street, 3rd Floor
   Hoboken, NJ

Audition Dates

Auditions for all roles: February 16, 2:00–7:00 pm — by appointment, every 15 minutes.

Dance audition for dance ensemble: February 17, 10:00 am

Callbacks for all roles: February 17, 12:00–5:00 pm
Callbacks will begin with a dance audition. You will be given time to change before you sing again.

Audition Requirement

This production is for high school and college performers (as of September 2013).

Please prepare a one-minute monologue and 32 bars of a song of your choice AND one or more of the songs listed below. Please know these are the songs required at callbacks as well.
